For Philippine medical service provider MediCard’s 25th anniversary rebranding project, a dynamic symbol was created, setting the company apart from other HMOs that use only logotypes. The symbol is composed of four rotating Rxs, forming a hospital cross at the center. It is rendered in a deep blue that bleeds into purple, the color of spirituality, instead of in the company’s all-blue palette, thus eliminating the cold, clinical mood associated with the medical field. Below the symbol, a rounded typeface is used for the logotype, keeping it approachable and modern. The Rx logo is bold, memorable, and can stand on its own, making it a true brand icon. It is emblazoned on all the company’s collaterals, including the corporate stationery suite, health cards, and service vehicles.
